| Background
In 1976, Trevor Walston left Esso
Petroleum and became Operations Director of Dewco
Services Limited, a company based in London and Ringwood,
which specialised in the design, installation and
maintenance of centralised oil distribution systems
for housing and industrial estates.
Trevor formed a heating division in 1978 and, in
1980, he left and formed Dewco Limited in order to
specialise in the design and installation of mechanical
building services. The base was initially at Ringwood,
and moved to Bournemouth in 1982. The Company subsequently
returned to Ringwood in December 2004.
The Company was registered with Corgi in 1980, and
joined the HVCA in 1988.
Much of Dewco’s success is due to its policy
of employing a direct labour force that is fully trained
together with a dedicated staff with many years of
service. For example, our Contracts Director was our
first fitter in 1979, and became a foreman in 1980.
One of our Project Managers, with over 20 years of
service, joined as an apprentice and became a foreman,
before his present appointment. The other Project
Manager, now with over 40 years experience, joined
us in 1980. Our Contracts Supervisor, also has been
with us for over 20 years progressing from fitter
to foreman to his present position.
Trevor Walston is both a European and Chartered Engineer
and is also a Fellow of the Energy Institute and a
Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services
Engineers.
Dewco Limited is dedicated to providing quality,
engineered building services systems.
