HMS Raleigh, Torpoint, Cornwall
Modular construction of 4 accommodation blocks consisting of 2 - 73 bed Senior Ratings blocks and 2 - 79 bed Junior Ratings blocks. The bedrooms include ensuite shower rooms, comprising vanity basins, wc suites and showers. Each block includes common rooms, utility and drying rooms, bathrooms and cleaners rooms on each floor.

Each block has a self-contained Building Services system including:
- Heating - gas-fired low pressure hot water systems with convector radiators and thermostatic radiator valves, fed by 2 MHS Strata 1 75 (69 kW output) fully modulating condensing boilers with MHS Pisces pressurisation units.
- Plumbing - Boosted cold water run from centralised booster set to each plant room. Hot water via 2 Andrews 54/440 direct fired water heaters, capable of providing showers to all rooms within 30 minutes.
- Ventilation - Individual duct and roof mounted in-line fans with silencers. All ensuites are ventilated at 25 litres per minute with a maximum noise rating of 35 NR.
- Building Management System - Trend front end system with outstations and control panels in each plant room. Remote control includes operating times, temperature set points and metering. One outstation picks up control and faults of centralised booster set.
The contract ran from August 2003 to July 2004 and included prefabrication work in our Bournemouth unit, module fit out at Newark (Nottinghamshire) and module link-ups and site services at Torpoint (Cornwall). The approximate contract value was £2,000,000.
